Americans and their iPhone obsession!
Ah! The Americans!
Land of the free and the wealthy and st***d and whatnot!
Let us not divulge into all the vices Americans have but just one: Their iPhone obsession!
We all agree iPhones are technologically inferior to the competition. But what makes them sell like hot cakes? Is it because of their marketing strategy? Or are Americans too easily fooled by big brands?
Let’s find out!

It may not be wrong to call Apple a marketing company instead of a phone manufacturer. Because apparently, all they come up with is the hype and aura about their phones while they tend to lack in innovation, practical features, multitasking and so on. Instead, they focus on advertising and promotions and come up with basic gimmicky software changes and Hurrah! New iPhone is ready!
Come on Apple. We expect better from you. It would help if you actually improved your software, hardware and everything else. Your processors are fast but your phones do not support multitasking! I mean what kind of a joke is this. Why to put one of the best processors in the phone and not have multi-tasking, multi-windows, run 2 apps simultaneously at once; which even the basic of android phones support.
And please update your dailer. It does not even support a basic T9 dialing. Nor does your dailer show the past calls done to a specific contact. I mean, its basic important stuff, right?
I also like to customise my phone a lot. I want to keep the icons wherever I want them. I do not want a phone to dictate me where I can put my things! Come on Apple, you’re not my mom. Let me have the liberty to customise my home screen and icons whatever way I want.
And let me not start with the back button! I mean, its always a hit or a miss. Even after so many technological advancements and the AI and whatnot, Apple is yet to figure out how to go back from an app. It lacks a basic back button or a back gesture. A simple swipe would have done the job. Instead, we rely on the mercy of the app we are using. Sometimes the back icon is at the top right, sometimes at the bottom left. It is low-key training for our eye-hand coordination. Thank you Apple.
A phone is somewhat of a companion. Something which we use most of our time and something we rely on heavily. We should have the choice of how to use it, customise it and dictate terms to it, not the other way around!
